We considered all sorts of other options – a Transit, a people-carrier, taking the train, but when we came across this cool private-plated Chevy by chance we decided it was too good an opportunity to miss. Now the holiday is over, so reluctantly we are selling it as planned. | This van was built in the USA, then shipped to Japan, where it was bought by the customising company. It remained in Japan until 2002, when it was imported into the UK. We have the Japanese purchase documents and MOT equivalents that tally (unlike some!) with the mileage on the van when it arrived here. | The customising includes (on the outside) a hi-top roof, fitted with an electric sunroof, TV Antenna and a solar battery-charge panel. A parking sensor system has also been fitted, and the vehicle has full privacy glass, plus double blinds for extra privacy. Another very visible feature is the alloy wheels – imported from the US and now bright red in colour! The private registration is also included in the sale. | The interior of the van features extensive wood panelling, fitted with LED mood lighting, individual reading lights, separate front and rear air-conditioning systems and a 15cm flat-panel LCD TV. There is also an inverter allowing a games console or DVD player to be used with the TV (something that was very popular on our holiday). | A Kenwood ICE/DVD system (with iPod connector) is linked to a Sony amp, giving great sound both front and rear. | The vehicle is a genuine 7-seater, with 4 generous and comfortable cream leather captains` chairs and a similarly upholstered rear bench, all fitted with seat-belts. The captains’ chairs all recline and the middle pair can swivel to face the rear bench. The driver and passenger seats are electrically operated and the rear bench moves back and forward at the touch of a button to adjust legroom/luggage capacity. It is a very comfortable way to travel! Some or all of the seats can be removed, turning the vehicle into a very spacious load carrier or a comfortable sleeping area (as we found out on a trip to this year`s British Grand Prix at Silverstone). | For security, the van has a TOAD A1 606 immobiliser system fitted. Its carpeted in grey... floor, walls and ceiling... there are the original captains chairs, the original bench seat that folds into a bed and there are also a couple of double bench seats with built in seatbelts. the funds to carry on with the IROC, so the RS has got to go.Which is a shame, frankly, as she`s a lovely drive. The interior was the top spec. for the year. Whoever first specced her did so with comfort in mind.Chevrolet introduced an immobiliser system this year that relies on the resistance of the ignition key, but I had a spare set of keys made after some hunting for the right blank.The air-con and cruise control are both things I wish I had on the IROC-Z, to be honest! Nice additions for the longer journeys.She`s not in perfect condition, but would make a great project for someone, or as a first US car for someone.Paint isn`t terrible, but it`s not perfect either. She`s been resprayed from a metallic red to black, apparently including the engine bay. I have a few spares for her as well - a rear diff cover, new bolts and gasket (the present one appears to be spotting a little oil), spare set of keys.She was serviced just prior to me buying her, where the front springs were done, and I`ve had new discs and pads fitted up front.There`s also a set of new tyres on the fronts, the rears are fine as well, and I had the alignment sorted at the same time. It`s all back to factory spec.I`ve had the rear bumper resprayed and a new decal fitted, the passenger side wing has received the same treatment - nice new paint.At the present time, she`s on SORN as my insurance policy on her has expired (I moved the policy to the IROC and left the RS on a 60 day appendix to the policy). MOT is until March 2011, however.There`s an HP report from the dealer I bought her from included with the history. The history file isn`t spectacular by any means, but does include the owners manual.I highly recommend viewing, and please remember you`re bidding to buy, not to kick the tyres and haggle.I require a non-refundable deposit of £250 via PayPal from the winning bidder within 48 hours of the auction ending and the balance upon collection.The car is advertised elsewhere, and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Still quiet enough when cruising though.It`s pretty solid all round, a few minor issues but nothing major.Interior pretty good all round, a few cracked/loose bits of plastic and the odd rattle but it`s presentable.Driver`s seat is a bit torn, I have a faux sheepskin rug on it to protect it - not for the looks at all... :-)Floors have been welded in the past, but nice and strong now.Chassis looks really solid.Bodywork is generally very straight and sound, with a few small bubbles and cracks. The worst bubble is on the O/S rear wing below the rear quarter window (see pic 10).Boot seal lips are badly corroded, especially O/S (see pic 9).Inner rear arches badly corroded due to leaky boot seals (see pic 11 - O/S, and pic 12 - N/S).I have the car listed for sale elsewhere so may end the auction early if it sells there.No tyre kickers please.Cash on collection.You are more than welcome to come and see the car and/or have it inspected.I love this Monte Carlo, but really want a 3rd gen Camaro so it has to go! I have owned it for 9 out of its 18 years. This car has been pampered its whole life, its every whim has been catered for and with only the best parts and materials - many of them OEM. is a late 2007 SE+ model with the desirable 1.0 litre 4 cylinder engine which provides much better performance than the more comman 3 cylinder models. Essentially the SE+ specification of this car makes this the luxury versiion and this car has all the essential ingredients for a modern small car including air-conditioning (which blows ice cold) , electric front windows and a CD stereo. The Matiz is compact and maneuverable so is easy to park and thanks to 5 doors and a higher than average roof line it is also surprisingly roomy. Its a good design which was totally revised in 2005 to feature a modern central instrument binnacle and a plusher interior. The 65bhp 1.0 engine is keen to rev and makes the Matiz a surprisingly capable performer capable of 97 mph. Yet this is also one of the cheapest cars to run with 50 mpg economy and low insurance (group 3) ideal for younger motorists or indeed anyone who wishes to save money. Being just 2 1/2 years old our Matiz is still too new for an MOT. The bodywork is in excellent condition and the interior is stain and odour free. Viewing is recomended to fully appreciate what a fine example of a modern but affordable small car this is. Hopefully the supersize photos will do the car some justice but in all honesty it really does need to be seen and driven to be fully appreciated... TEST DRIVE; Thanks to its compact dimensions and excellent manouverability the Matiz is an entertaining drive. Sharp steering, an excellent ride and a responsive throttle ensure the Matiz is superb fun to punt through the city streets.The Compact dimensions mean you can fling a Matiz through gaps that other road users dare not even attempt to pass through. This is a nimble, quick witted little car and as a result manages to put a smile on its drivers face every time you drive it. All the controls are light and have a positive feel and the turning circle is among the tightest of any production car at just 9 metres. In all honesty that 1 litre engine really transforms the Matiz and makes this car equally excellent on the open road. While the 3 cylinder models always felt a bit too buzzy at speed the SE+ model is a capable cruiser and manages to feel composed and relaxed on the motorway. There is fantastic balance and excellent ABS brakes which inspire your confidence in all weather conditions. The steering is light and quick as is the gear change on the 5 speed manual box. All the controls are simple and easy to read, the centre mounted instrument binnacle on this revised model not only looks modern but is simple and easy to use. The air-conditioning fitted to this higher spec model blows ice cold and makes the interior of the Matiz very pleasant indeed. My test drive included 35 miles of Motorway driving and I found the Matiz to be both refined and stable at speed. It may be small but thanks to a good driving position and excellent road manners this is one small car that I would be happy to drive long distances. I really cannot recomend these cars highly enough... There are few cars that combine such compact dimensions with the practicality of the 5door Matiz. Chevy is in gleaming metalic Gold with factory tinted windows. (Darker at the back and lighter at the front so totaly legal) The Blazer is a powerful American 4x4 that has it all. Lovely full leather interior and all the toys. The colour one of the best, and more unusual is metalic Gold. The paintwork is very good, there is of course the odd small stone chip or very very light scratch, (please remember its not brand new, but then its not £37,000 either !) but you can see from the photos that both the exterior and the interior of this Blazer are in very good condition. The Blazer has covered only 73.000. Nothing for one of these stong workhorses. It has a towbar fitted, the last owner used it to tow his Harley to events. (The Blazer has Harley window stickers on the side and back windows, they are attractive and I have left them on,, but the peel off without leaving a mark if you dont like them) 73,000 is low for one of these and means the Blazer has covered an average of less than 7500 miles per year. I have the original handbooks and the service history together with old MOTs. The Blazer passed an MOT last week needing nothing at all. It has Air Conditioning, Full Leather Interior, CD player and power everything, including heated seats and folding door mirrors. There are 3 extra powerpoints as well as the cigar lighter for all your laptops, sat navs and electrical toys The Chevy drives perfectly in both two or four wheel drive. The tyres are all good and the car had an oil change and service last week The rear folding seats can split 2/3 1/3 and the load space is huge. I have owner several of these blazers converted to LPG, they run well on it and at half the price of petrol it is well worth considering a conversion. Bad Points Very few, there is a small stain in the carpet in the rear load area and the air con is not very cold, however by the end of the auction I will clean the rear carpet and have the air con re gassed. The alloy wheels could use a refurb, they look quite good but could be made perfect for around £35 each. I bought this car from e bay and drove the car back from London(in one tank of petrol) and during the whole time of having this car i have not had to do a thing to it or had any problems. The car is totaly rust free and 100% reliable. I have put this car through two MOT`s and both times the car has sailed through only replacing builbs on both MOT`s. My brother has his own garage and we have carried out two services since owning, one was a full service with plugs, leads, disributer cap, oil filter and air filter and the other was an oil change with filter. The engine is v6 and has plenty of power and is great on fuel infact it is better on fuel than my other car 2.5 diesel. The car sounds great and looks the part and i will be sorry to see it go as the kids and the wife are pretty pissed at me for getting rid of her. The Photos do make the car look in mint condition but there is a bit of laquire come away from the front passanger nose next to the light and a couple of laquire bubbles on the plastic but i have never bothered to get them done as it doesnt bother me.(about £50 to re laquire) Here are the bad bits, The oil gauge is a bit eratic and so is the speedo, the front set has a bit worn in the usual place but there are covers over it ( the usual for car this age) the interior is good though. i didnt own it then. This is one of the largest road legal Monster Trucks in the UK, running massive 17/47/15 Super Swamper Tyres imported by me from the states at a cost of £2000 and they have done less than 50 miles since then. Unsure of how much the suspension and body have been lifted by but the vehicle stands at about 8 1/2 feet tall. The Truck has only done 47,000 miles since new, unfortunately it arrived from Japan (Imported to Japan from America and then ended up in the UK) without service history but all who have worked on her confirm they believe the mileage to be genuine. This version has the massive 5.7 Liter V8 petrol that you can hear a good 5 seconds before the truck arrives. Engine is perfect and starts on the button every time and runs very smoothly, gear box also perfect. Interior is in overall good condition, some minor trim a bit lose and the odd bit missing but no major worries , drivers seat is electric and works 100%. Drivers side quarter window has been broken and needs to be replaced and air con doesnt work. As with any 20 year old car there will be other odd bits and pieces i ahve not thought of but nothing major. No rust to speak of at all, some very minor surface rust on a bit of crome trim but bodywork is in unbelievebale condition as is the underneath. Paint wise it has faded in places, when we first purchased it we imagined we may use it for advertising as it gains so much attention from everyone, and as such considered a respray or adwrap.
