I've had a number of questions come in privately by both watchers and bidders alike, so here are the answers:
1. The reserve on the truck is set at £6,500 - which is not far away from the current bid. Small money when you consider the initial purchase price and the amount of money spent on the truck over the past few years and the restoration.
2. Truck does not have a UK V5/MOT - The truck is in Ireland and is exempt from car testing given its age but comes with the Irish equivalent of a V5 (VRC)
3. The truck drives really sweet and starts on the button. The engine and transmission are in perfect working order - the only thing that needs to be looked at is the gear linkage bushings - sometimes its hard to find some gears - this is more to do with the aftermarket Hurst shifter alignment.
4. Yes, the heater works as it should and blows hot.
5. Yes, all of the electrics and gauges work fine - however, like any of these Yanks I suspect the speedometer is slightly off! ;-)
6. There are no scratches/tears in on the bench seat or dash.
7. The chrome bumber up front is new - no rust/corrosion at all and blemish free.
8. It does not leak - all new door rubbers have been installed
9. The truck has just been recently services (fluids and filters etc)
10. The tyres are like new and lots of thread left
11. The wooden beams in the rear bed are like new, but could do with a revarnish at some future point - but using marine varnish, not normal household varnish!
12. The rear customer bumper can be removed if required - these trucks seldom came with a rear bumper anyway.
