for these. It does about 45mpg so is good on petrol. I usually put about £20 each week in petrol and do a lot of motorway driving. It is in very good condition on the inside and when I purchased it I paid about £150 to have the seats conditioned so that spillages don`t show up. I still have all of the aftercare cleaning solutions for this and will include it with the car. There are no marks at all on the seats. The body has a noticeable scratch on the back passanger door (where someone has keyed the car). See picture. It also has a few less obvious scrathches near the rear of the car. As can be seen from the picture, the number plate has a few cracks in it. Other than these body marks, the car is in good condition and is MOT`d until June 1012. It is also taxed until 31/05/2012. Has only done 40,200 miles. Air conditioning works well, as does the CD/radio player. Please feel free to come and have a look. I am selling it at a lower price than most Kalos cars with similar year/mileage because of the scrathces on the body and the crack on the number plate. MOT until Jan 2013 Taxed until March 2012 Two Three seat rear bench seats. All this for £2,200 BUY IT NOW. Call to discuss. (Four choices of different wheel sets available should you not like the set currently fitted.) MOT`ed full year TAX (TAX is only £118 per six months £210 per year) Fully remote control 10" TV / DVD available. This Dayvan has the (renoundly known as) virtually indestructable 4300cc Vortec V6 petrol engine which not only sounds fantastic it is also surprisingly economical for this size engine and has a proven track record of being extremely reliable. The interior is very nice, all seating is in above average condition with two front fixed seats, and two three seater rear bench seats which folds down to allow superior loading or can easily be removed to allow for huge loading capacity or to put in an inflatable mattress to give a good night sleep with no hotel charges, this lovely vehicle also is equipped with air conditioning, plus airbag. As you can see by the photograghs the outside is in fair condition however there are several lightly damaged areas to mention, the bonnet has a lot of stone chipping, the rear left door has very light dent and most of the passenger side has light denting, most of which a dentdoctor body repair technician could remove without the need for spray work so study the pictures especially for the passenger side and ask for more if required (please TEXT or CALL me on 07747845304 so I can get your email address for extra pictures as e b a y will remove any messages with email addresses included, All in all the vehicle drives very well and looks good, even the passenger side and bonnet aren`t obvious from just a few feet away, plus the underside is as always excellent as these vans all have a galvanised chassis so no rust. For the money, this is a good entrance van if you don`t want to be paying around double for a near perfect similar vehicle. Sort the bodywork at around i`d guess to be about £400 and you`ve got a cracker as the rest of the vehicle is very nice. Plus the front grill can be updated to the newer composite headlight option for around a couple of hundred pounds (that includes replacement headlights/ replacement grill/new headlight wiring loom).Or for a little extra I can fit all these for you. And upgrade headlights / taillights / bumper-indicator lights / mirrors / wheels etc all availbale and in stock, Ask for details. The price of the vehicle `as is` is only £2,200 which i feel represents excellent value. Also has privacy glass. If you choose to purchase i`m always available to offer help & advice regarding upgrade parts or spares etc throughout your ownership, i`m just a phone call away. I have many things occupying my time but if I find there is no sensible offers or interest in the vehicle as it is I may have the work completed myself, including grill replacement etc, but the price when completed will reflect the impoved condition so i`d expect to be then advertising at around £3,750 with offers, at the current asking price it truly is a bargain so grab your chance while its available. The mileage is only 63,331 which is well below average for the year of vehicle and the condition interior and exterior clearly shows this is correct, also these engines being larger than most UK cars are built for long life and so 300-400 thousand miles can easily be enjoyed before any hint of serious engine failure being likely, mpg is between 22 and 28 depending on how and where you drive, town / motorway /cruise / floor it etc. But remember if it was converted to LPG, which is nearly half the price of petrol you`d effectively be getting around 40-50 mpg. My own Purple Astro is converted to LPG and I get about 330 miles from a full tank which currently costs me about £65 so it makes this vehicle viable to drive as your day to day vehicle as i have for the past two years. This vehicle drives extremely smoothly, very comfortable ride which i feel is above the standard for these vehicles. All in all a great investment for whoever buys this very well spec`d vehicle. It can tow anything big or small so with the towbar fitted it makes a major bonus for this vehicle. Parts / Spares for these vehicles are easy to get, cheaper than you`d expect and more importantly off the shelf in THIS country, one company of many i use is `USA Automotive` located in the Midlands, Parts are always correct as all you do is give this company the van`s VIN number and anything ever fitted to the vehicle is logged on their database! Fantastic, they are easy to fit parts to, service is also done with ease with access from a removable panel inbetween the driver and front passenger seats and again cheap-e.g. you can get six Dayvan spark plugs, air filter, oil filter, HT leads, distributor cap, distributor arm, for around £100 delivered next day. The rear seating folds down for collecting larger items or you can remove them completely in literally in seconds making a very good sized collection van for extra large items. (I`ve timed it and both three seaters can be out of the vehicle in under 60 seconds, not that anyone would need to do it that quickly.) It has a beautifully smooth automatic transmission PLUS cruise control, the steering is so light you can steer it with one finger, and its raised drivers position makes this vehicle very reassuring as you get an elevated view of the road ahead far further than a typical car. I have MANY MANY happy customers and pride myself on stocking only the best vehicles available. £2,200 for this vehicle is i feel not only very fair but a TRUE BARGAIN!!! But i am realistic, i understand buyers concerns and to continue a steady stock flow i have (unlike many sellers) adjusted my prices accordingly. and updated by Corvette kingdom in that time.Bought from us 10 years ago, a full body off chassis refurbishment was the first stage of the cars revamp, there is a full DVD record of the body off included with the cars history folder.This car got the full works, all new suspension bushes throughout, fully stripped, sandblasted, and repainted. New fuel and brake lines, new wheel bearings, handbrake kit, etc etc etc.Not only that, steeroids rack and pinion steering was fitted, along with SmartStruts, and 225/70 x 15 Cooper Cobra tyres, and a full 4 wheel alignment. This Corvette drives and handles as well as the best ones out there.To make those cruises even better, a 700R4 4 speed auto conversion went in there too, 60 mph is 1600RPM. The only way to travel!The following year the car had a full respray in bright red, the front and rear bumpers were replaced with our fiberglass reproductions, so no ill fitting wavy eurethane bumpers on this one. The body is very straight and the paint very bright. New weatherseals were fitted at this time.Next came the interior, we had a set of black leather seat covers custom made in the USA in black leather with red piping, all on the correct tooling, and looking just like GM made them. A new carpet set and door panel set was fitted, all with new hardware. The dash and center console was refurbished , along with a new Alpine stereo system, including a seperate ampifier and i-pod control. The interior of this car is lovely.The owners of this Corvette have really treated it well, it has been upgraded where it matters, restored and refurbished everywhere else, and has been extensively used, this is no garage queen, this corvette has participated in many classic car rallys, and has cruised France extensively. I should also note that it is being sold at very little above cost, therefore you can`t import a truck of this size cheaper. 1960 Chevrolet BelAir 4 door sedan with 350 cu in small block and TH400 auto trans. The engine actually has "400" badges on it and I was told when I bought it that it`s a 400 cu in, but I am not 100% sure, so listing it as a 350, which would be a more common engine to put in one of these. I was also told it had a 700R4 trans, but it is definitely not one of those, sump pan tells me it`s a TH400. It has a 1963 Impala rear axle for better gearing. It has headers, non standard cam and a 4 barrell Holley. It starts and runs no problem, good oil pressure, does not run hot and is quite powerful, but very loud as it has glass pack mufflers or cherry bombs. Trans has a floor shifter, works good, all gears good, no slipping, no overheating, no rear axle noise. It has been fitted with power steering as that would not come standard either. Interior, well seats and door cards are all good, carpet is naff and headcloth is stained and front section is missing. Both are easy jobs to do, but if you wanted to rat rod it, then you wouldn`t have to do anything with interior. Dash has been cut to fit a radio at some time, needs tidied up. Bodywork, well it`s a bit scruffy and definitely worse than it looks in the pics, though not full of rot either, just some bits here and there, paint has been touched up with rattle cans in it`s life. Again, it needs re-done properly, or, if a rat rod, it is fine as is. Chrome and stainless is all there and mostly good, some of the normal dings as expected on a 50+ year old car. Tyres are all good. Car has power brakes, drums all round and they work fine. I`ve never had the hubs stripped down so can`t say what condition of brake shoes, wheel bearings etc are in, but it does drive and stop well and there`s no brake fluid leakage. Park brake does not work, I have a new pair of cables here for the new owner to fit. Underside is largely fine, there are localised holes in parts of the floor pans, doesn`t need a floor, just some patches, and chassis as always is superb. Okay, to gain it`s first MOT and registration it will need a going over, but from what I`ve seen without doing a full inspection it will need some welding to floor pans, headlights changed to left dipping UK lights, handbrake sorted and a pair of wiper blades. It may need more, but like I said if this is to be used as-is, then work will be minimal and it could be on the road very cheaply. If you want to paint and trim it, etc, then that`s another story, but you can do this in the assurance that what you spend on it you should get back if you were to sell it as these are now so sought after in the States that prices have risen to a level that I could not import another one now. You could not get one like this and import it yourself for what I`m asking for it. So, if you want one of these, save yourself the time and trouble importing and come and have a look at this one already in the UK. Fly in to Edinburgh, I`ll pick you up and drop you back off again, and can have the car delivered to your door, anywhere on UK mainland. Okay to start off, this is a rolling shell, has no engine or tans, BUT we have a couple of V8s, a 305 from an `86 GMC day van and a 307 from a `69 Camaro, both which are connected to TH350 auto trans. These are available at extra cost. Pics are all I have, will get better ones soon and add them. The previous owner replaced all the usual rot spots in these trucks, possibly steps, cab outer conrners, floor pans, etc. I can`t quite remeber how much he said he`d done, but it all must be to a decent standard as I`ve had it lying here for a couple of years and nothing has come through, and it did spend much of that time sitting outside. He also coated it in primer to give it a level of protection, so it`s sitting here as a solid old truck. he didn`t replace the inner cab rear corners when he did the outers so a little filler work needed here, no welding at all from what I can see. It`s also pretty much dent free, just a little smoothing work needed here and there. He also painted most of the chassis and under the hood, inner wings, etc all in gloss black. The time all this will save you in a restoration more than makes up for the asking price without an engine or trans. Glass is all good, I think the screen is new and it has a new rubber. All lights, badges, etc are present, "Fleetside" scripts were new, front bumper is straight, rear bumper and irons are missing. Propshaft is there, handbrake cables are all free, previous owner said it has new brakes and cylinders and wheel bearings, and I can see the brake flex hoses are new. Master cylinder does need replaced though and are readily available. Bed has a sheet of ply in it with ali runners and it looks okay, bed front cross memebr is missing but we have that on the way over just now. Tailgate is solid, has some minor dings, nothing serious. Bench seat is there in decent condition, all gauges, etc are there, can`t verify if they work with no engine! Bonnet latch is missing, was robbed off for another truck at one time. Truck was used in the film "Cloud Atlas" filmed in Glasgow last September and if you google image Halle Berry Cloud Atlas Glasgow, you will see plenty shots of this truck and my `60 BelAir with halle in the foreground. Also can be seen on several youtube videos taken during filming. So, there you have it, a good solid project, just ripe for a street rod. The Fleetside is much rarer than the stepsides and does lend itself very well to a smoothed out high quality rod. We bought it with the intention of puting in a BMW turbo diesel drive train with a heidt`s front crossmember to give it power, economy, modern handling with power steering, brakes, etc. the front end kit we planned yo use is a bolt in kit which gives independent coils or air bags, power disc brakes and power steering. It means you do not have to cut the chassis to fit a camaro clip, which are now getting harder to find anyway, and, as it`s only a suspension change, it means you keep the age related plate and free road tax. I have the title and customs C386 proving all duties and taxes ahve been paid. All you need to when you get it MOTd is to take the MOT, insurance doc and the title and C386 along with £55 to your local DVLA office and 72 hours later you have the truck registered, it really is that easy. need a 2003 F150 Harley Davidson! The car needs to go so make me an offer! As I`m in the North of Scotland I`ll even fill it up for your trip down South!It is a 93 with the LT1 5.7L V8 engine which gives 300 bhp and 340 lb/ft torque which gave 0-60 of 5.2 secs and a top speed of 165 mph for the automatic according to the magazine tests of the time. It is fitted with a 4 speed automatic which gives surprisingly good fuel economy. I find it averages about 20 mpg knocking around town and up to 30 mpg on any trips over about 20 miles (if you`re not too heavy with the right foot!). At 80 mph the engine is only doing about 2000 rpm!I have owned the car for over 2 years and have spent a fair few pounds on it including £1,000 on a Billy Boat 3" stainless cat back exhaust in the last few weeks (not the exhaust in the photos). I have also had a set of the original 17" Sawblade wheels powder coated in sparkle silver. I have recently fitted a full set of original style Bilstein shock absorbers. The interior is in nicer than average condition, a previous owner had the seats replaced with Mid America Motorworks reproductions, the car also has Mid America floormats and a brand new Mid America cargo mat. All the weather stripping has been replaced apart from the door seals which are included but not yet fitted. I have also replaced the key fob for the passive keyless entry recently.I have replaced the radiator hoses with Samco Silicone ones (in black). The wiper motor cover which controls wiper motor functions (a known problem area) has also been replaced by me.The steering column was refurbished by Claremont Corvette this time last year - this is a known weak point as fat yanks use the wheel to pull themselves out of the car! No worries on this one as it is excellent now. A previous owner has also fitted a Cobra immobiliser in addition to the manufacturers security system.Fitted a new set of AC Delco Platinum Spark Plugs last week!The fibreglass body is in very good overall condition with no cracking/crazing apparent. The paint is nice apart from the usual road rash immediately behind the rear wheels where stones get thrown up from the tyres. The roof is the plexiglass targa top which has a 2" long fine crack on it. It has been there since I bought the car and has not worsened over the last 2 years. I had meant to replace it but it has never been a problem so I haven`t! The roof also has the usual Corvette stress lines visible when you look out on a sunny day - again this has never proven to be a problem so hasn`t been replaced. Since I have had the car it has always been polished with Dodo Juice products and looks stunning on a sunny day.The car drives very well and seems slightly more responsive since I fitted the Billy Boat exhaust although that may be my imagination! I have changed the oil (only using Mobil 1 5w30), filter and trans oil and filter every 6 months since I bought the car, all other fluids (rear axle excepted) have been flushed and changed. On a long drive (sometimes) it has been throwing an intermittent check engine light which disappears when the car starts up again. This had been traced to the O2 sensors, I have a pair of new OEM ones which I haven`t got round to fitting yet - these will be included.The car has about 110000 miles on it (and is in daily use so this will change) and is 19 years old and as such has its faults, the only significant ones I will list to try and be as honest as possible.The factory Bose stereo has a faulty CD/cassette player - these always go wrong and I was going to get it refurbished next year to keep the car original.The drivers window leaks when standing in heavy rain - to rectify it needs the window tip in angle adjusting to meet the new weather seal better, the door card needs to be removed to do so - I have never got round to doing this and just lived with it.The oil filter mount has been leaking slightly - needs a new O ring fitting (included) - i was going to do this on the next oil change.The electric aerial is stuck in the up position, I think this is a loose connection/bad earth as it stopped working suddenly with no previous deterioration in performance - another one on my to do list for next year!The air-con needs a re-gas - all functions work fine it just doesn`t blow as cold as it should.Overall this is a nice Corvette which is easy to use as a daily driver, fast, relatively good on fuel, cheap to insure (I`m about £230 fully comp) and not too bad on tax at £215 (I think!). I will include whatever spares I have lying around - door seals, O2 sensors, oil filters if I still have them, Corvette project book. The car is taxed and MOT`d until the end of May.This car is only for sale as I cant fit a rear facing child seat in it, I have no real wish to sell it and will not be letting it go for buttons! At the price its the cheapest LT1 around - and it`s a nice car too! Amazing!That`s all I can think of at the moment!
